Giving Back!

An integrated part of The Network Club is the strong belief that giving back to your network and community is essential to succeed in life and business.  One of the organization that The Network Club supports is the Giving Back Foundation, which was Founded by Charles D.A. Ruffolo.

The Network Club hopes that members stimulate and incorporate their own (local) charity into the local business. NetworKing members are encouraged to actively participate in their clubs, foundations and charities.

One of the easy forms of giving back is volunteering to help others in your immediate network - if you have not already started to give back, I hope you start after reading this portion of the web site.

The Giving Back Foundation is a non-profit organization committed towards bringing critical resources to the youth that need them.The goal of the Giving Back Foundation is to energize professional organizations, businesses and high schools to encourage ethnic immigrant youth that are high achievers and motivated but need the encouragement from role models.

Through the implementation of a balanced mentoring program for 2 years, a high school student operates year round with a mentor to improve their academic performance, to set career goals, to learn job skills and to develop high working standards in order to grow up as successful citizens and eventually business people. Mentors from the business community meet regularly (average of an hour a week) to help these youngsters assimilate with the business environment in which we would like them to eventually succeed.

Normally, these youngsters are brought up in very different home environments and the idea is not to change them, but to help and guide them. This is a very successful, win-win-win situation for the student, the mentor and our society. The organization is purely dependent on businesses for funding their program.
